Our research interests lie in advanced techniques to shape ultrasound and light fields with high fidelity in 3D – and how we can use them for the remote and rapid assembly of biological cells and biomaterials to user-defined 3D tissues. We design and build practical setups, integrating our technology with microfluidic channels or culture dishes, to create new functionalities for microphysiological systems. This junior research group is funded by the Nexus program of the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung.
