Cass Sunstein will be visiting Heidelberg from June 9 to June 11 and will give lectures in the Old Town and at Neuenheimer Feld. The program is available for download and is attached. The first talk is entitled 'Manipulation'.
Cass R. Sunstein is the Robert Walmsley University Professor at Harvard Law School. His research focuses on administrative and regulatory law, constitutional law, behavioral economics, and environmental law. Most notable among his academic achievements are the 2018 Holberg Prize and multiple American Bar Association awards for distinguished scholarship in administrative law. He served as Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. In 2024, he received the Distinguished Public Service Medal from the Department of Homeland Security.His publication list includes dozens of books and hundreds of articles across law, economics, and behavioral science, including The World According to Star Wars, The Ethics of Influence, and Nudge, which introduced the concept of “libertarian paternalism."
