Career and Education
Dr. Dr. Alex Wiegmann first earned a doctorate in cognitive science at the University of Göttingen, where he worked on questions in moral psychology. He subsequently moved into philosophy at Ruhr University Bochum while simultaneously completing a second doctorate in philosophy at the University of Zurich, on the concept of lying. Following a brief stay at the University of Granada (Ramón y Cajal research fellowship), he is currently substituting for Nora Heinzelmann's professorship at Heidelberg University. His research focuses on the concept of lying, expertise defense, and moral judgment.
