Welcome to the Blasco Lab Blasco Group
The Blasco Group is located at the Institute for Molecular Systems Engineering and Advanced Materials (INF 225). We are a very international (more than six different nationalities!) and interdisciplinary team. Our research is at the interface of organic chemistry, material sciences and optics. In particular, we focus on the development of new polymer-based functional materials with application in 4D printing.
Our research group focuses on the design and synthesis of new polymer-based functional materials with applications in 3D/4D printing. In particular, we employ 3D printing techniques using light such as two-photon 3D laser printing and digital light processing.

Finn represented the group at the FEMS EUROMAT 2025 conference in Granada, Spain last week. He gave a talk about the next generation of stimuli responsive materials for 4D macro - and microprinting.

Silas and Christian went back to school this summer, attending the Spectroelectrochemistry Summerschool at IFW Dresden, where they presented their projects at the poster session. Christian was awarded the Best Poster Award by the organizers.
