Lecture: Biophysics and Physical Chemistry of Life
The course provides knowledge of physical chemistry as it relates to biological systems. It provides an introduction to advanced topics in the physical chemistry of life: biochemical thermodynamics, macromolecular structures, and interfacial chemistry.

• Introduction to cell organization and structure
• Mechanical properties of polymers
• 2D and 3D polymer networks
• Intermembrane forces
• Dynamic filaments
• Molecular motors
• Mechanical design of cells
• Cell adhesion

Seminar: Current Topics in Molecular Systems Engineering

• Methods in Molecular Systems Science (including chemistry, physics, biology, materials science), particularly biohybrid systems, responsive materials, microfluidics, 3D printing
• Literature reading and discussion
